Year end letter bill small

It’s hard to believe that 2024 is winding down. In many ways this has been a challenging year for our family having experienced the passing of several close relatives. Still the Lord has been gracious and kind, and we trust in His goodness and mercy in the midst of sorrowful loss.

This marks my 39th year serving the Lord in vocational ministry, and my 15h year With Daymark Pastoral Counseling. As you know, the ministry I have through Daymark is to help point people to the work of Jesus and the hope of His abiding presence to bring healing, restoration and renewal to their lives, their relationships, and most of all, with the Father.  I am so grateful for the opportunity to walk alongside and give counsel to individuals, couples, and families in the midst of trials, challenges, and loss.  What privilege it is to see God restore marriages, reconcile families, and bring healing to people walking in the midst difficult life issues and circumstances.  I’m writing you because I need your help to continue to do this.

As we look forward to 2025, I’d like to invite you to prayerfully consider financially partnering with me to minister to others who need the restoring work of Christ in their lives.  We count on financial contributions from people like you to help us offer counseling to so many who aren’t able to pay or are able to contribute only a little to receive the help they need. Nearly half of donations each year come through year-end-contributions. I’m praying for the Lord to provide $35,000 in year-end giving.   For that to happen I’m asking the Lord to place it on the hearts of individuals or families like you to give a donation of $ 50, $100, $500, $1000, $3000, $5000 or more to reach this goal.  I’m deeply grateful to the Lord for those who’ve done this in the past. Please pray with me for this goal to be reached.

Perhaps you’ve been helped through counseling and would like to help others benefit in the same way. Would you prayerfully consider partnering with me by giving a year-end gift, or monthly pledge for 2025?  To give a tax-deductible gift click the “donate ” button below or send a check made payable to “Daymark” to our P.O. Box below. You can also set up monthly donations in 2025 as an automatic draft by locating the directions on the “donate” page of our website or you can email our office administrator Katy at admin@daymarkcounseling.com for assistance with this, or to make a stock donation. Thank you so much for considering what you might do. I am grateful!

Gratefully,

Bill White

Why do I Raise Financial Support?

We have no set fee for our counseling – as a ministry we offer a sliding scale to lessen finances as on obstacle that might hinder others from getting needed help.  Some pay at the high end of the scale, but many more contribute at the low end, some contribute below the scale, and some I counsel pro bono. We believe God has led us to operate as a ministry in this way, and that necessitates we raise funds to offer a sliding scale, while still covering the costs of our budget.

We are a non-profit organization – the only source of revenue I generate is through what an individual contributes for counseling.  This is substantial, but not enough to cover my salary, health insurance and benefits, shared office space and administrative expenses.  I need contributions to be able to offer counseling at a reduced rate for those who cannot afford to seek out the help they need.

Insurance does not reimburse those who meet with me – As you know my training is biblical and the style of my counseling is pastoral, not clinical. Because I am not licensed by the state and do not provide a clinical diagnosis, insurance companies will typically not reimburse someone for meeting with me.

End of Year Giving is very significant for most non-profit ministries -   contributions in late November and December comprises nearly half of my annual donations for the year.

Healthcare Costs – We’ve taken some steps to reduce the cost of healthcare, but it still remains high.  While we are grateful to have health insurance, as a non-profit that means I am individually responsible to cover 100% of the costs of our family’s monthly premiums. (which increased this year in July

)I love partnering with you to reach others! – I’m grateful God has given me the privilege to minister the hope of Christ to others literally on an hour-to-hour basis throughout the day.  It deepens my own faith to encourage and exhort others to pursue a deeper reliance upon the Lord in facing their trials and challenges.  But your gift means you and I are working together to make this happen.  Without you, these meetings don’t take place. “Not that I seek the gift, but I seek the fruit that increases to your credit.” Philippians 4:17
