Eric Venable

ERIC VENABLE loves the opportunities in counseling to help people connect their struggles with the love and hope we find in the person and work of Jesus Christ. He especially enjoys helping people experience the healing power of the Gospel with issues such as guilt, shame, despair and grief. Eric counsels in a variety of areas, including pre-marital and marital counseling, trauma, and addiction. He is especially interested in addressing issues that pertain to sexual brokenness and helping people embrace the goodness of God’s design for our sexuality. Before coming to Daymark, Eric was a pastor for six years, serving at two churches. He is a member of a local church and also does itinerant preaching for various congregations. Eric has been married since 2006 and has four children.

He has a Master of Divinity from Beeson Divinity School and has received training from the Christian Counseling and Education Foundation, the Gottman Institute, and the International Institute for Trauma and Addiction Professionals.  He has also completed a Level 1 in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT).  He is a Board Certified Pastoral Counselor (BCPC) and a Pastoral Sex Addiction Professional (PSAP).
