BETTY CARTER has experience helping clients deal with anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, intrusive thoughts, relationship issues, and faith struggles. She loves to work with couples and has level 1 certification in both Gottman and Emotion Focused Therapy. As a former educator, she enjoys working with children four years and up, including adolescents.      

Betty has a Master of Arts in Counseling from UAB (2020) with a concentration in Marriage and Family Therapy. As an Associate Licensed Counselor in the state of Alabama, she can provide a diagnosis code for out-of-network insurance reimbursement.  Betty is a member of the American Counseling Association and the American Association of Christian Counselors. She works under the supervision of Matt Bunt, L.P.C.-S.
