BETTY CARTER loves walking beside clients as they discover their part in the “Great Story”--as they face the unique challenges of their own journey through this beautiful but broken world. She considers it an incredible privilege to partner with people of all ages and cultural backgrounds encountering a range of difficulties including anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, relationship issues, and marriage and family conflicts.
Betty is an Associate Licensed Counselor working under the supervision of Matt Bunt, M.Ed., LPC-S. She graduated from Wheaton College in 1987 with a degree in history. Betty has a Master of Arts in Counseling from UAB (2020), with a concentration in Marriage and Family Therapy. She is the author of three books and numerous articles, has taught elementary and high school, and directs Children’s Ministries at a local church. She and her husband have two daughters and three granddaughters.
