Sarah Atwell

Counselor

Sarah Atwell considers it a privilege to help her clients uncover the truth of their identity and to help them step into a life of freedom, joy, and connection with God and others. She has experience working with individuals, couples, and families with a variety of issues such as anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, and relationship issues. 

Sarah is an Associate Licensed Counselor working under the supervision of Michelle Pruett, M.Ed., Ed.S., LPC-S. She received her Masters of Arts in Counseling with a concentration in Clinical Mental Health from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She is also trained in Eye Movement and Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy which is an extensively researched and effective therapy proven to help people recover from trauma and other distressing life experiences. Prior to joining Daymark, she worked in the local church context preparing young adults for ministry contexts overseas by developing their personal identity, interpersonal skills, and biblical theology. She and her husband have one daughter together.
